Well, I just wanted to update this section… I had forgotten to put a final and closing update here so I figure I will add this and maybe one more post later…

I weighed in at 162 this morning.   Having started this whole this somewhere around 195, I would have to say that I rank up there are a success.  As time has gone on I have slowly let a middling amount of carbs back in my life, but Atkins certainly has changed me for good, I think.  I don’t eat potatoes, fries, things like that.  I still remove about half the bun from a hamburger, and I don’t eat the outside crust when I have pizza. Sugary drinks are gone, never to come back.  I am sure that Pepsi and Red Bull has both suffered a sales hit as a result of my dropping of them off the list.

I haven’t been eating as well recently as I had in the past, but I have been monitoring my weigh closely to make sure it doesn’t creep up, keeping things basically anywhere from 161 to 165 depending on the day and various other bodity function related deals.  Consistantly checking my weight and paying attention to the fit of clothes is keeping me motivated, and much of the stuff has become habit, so I don’t even think about it.

It worked for me, and it could work for you… heck, I could even have a pizza from Coronet Pizza in St Laurent to celebrate… kewl!

Now how is that for a sexy fucking webcam show. Food + hotness = melty.

I’m physically exhausted. Plane flights, high speed desert run from Phoenix to Vegas, late nights, drinking, photoshoots, a late night dinner, stranded in San Fransico, romantic rides on the cable cars there. Perhaps I’ll post pictures later but right now I have much more serious things to discuss.

You can’t always get what you want; You can’t grow flowers in the desert. Hell, I can’t even grow flowers outside my front door in Sacramento but that’s another story.

Friends in need are friends indeed and nothing disappoints me more than friends in need who refuse help. I’m not talking about one person, but a selected handful of good friends who are having a tough go things for the moment. One of them failed to call me when he needed me the most, another annoys me daily but refuses to let me in; Yet another one has had the same problem for two years and although she can solve all of her problems by saying yes to my multiple marriage proposals she continues to refuse my help.

So I’m going to offer my wisdom and sage advice now….. Your not the first one who has been where you are at and you won’t be the last. Others have been here before you; Bankruptcy, divorce, drugs, girl problems, DUIs – whatever. There are good times and bad times; You have to ride the bad times out. Accept the reality of the “right now”, push hard for forward movement, and then come up screaming….

And keep in mind the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Well, at least I don’t think I am a fan of major american racing series anymore.  Today is the last day of the NASCAR season.  The championship race.  It all comes down to this, and I can’t be bothered to even turn the TV on.  I would rather clean the gutters on the house or do graphics work than waste the time.  Last week was the end of the champcar season, and I had the same feeling.  I would say that almost without a doubt, I am no longer interested.

According to the TV ratings, I am not alone in turning NASCAR off.  Viewership in the US is off by about 10% this year from what I can tell, and many of the races have seats available on race day, walk up and buy a ticket on race day.  2 years ago you would have had to kill people to get tickets to most of the races.

There is little innovation, nothing new… 50% of the races are run on cookie cutter track that, except for the skyline in the background, could all be the same track.  The entire race often hinges on who can save gas to avoid a pitstop or who put the right 1/4 pound of air in that right front tire.  480 miles of nothing to get 20 miles of racing, in a series who’s point system rewards average and doesn’t give anyone a real reason to win.  The artificial “race to the chase” and “the chase” tries very hard to create some tension and stop run away seasons, but all it does is turn 33 drivers into lame ducks too scared to race anyone in the top 10, and turns the top 10 in boring bots too scared to race in case they screw up their average points finish.

When racing stops rewarding winning, people stop wanting to win.  They race for points, they race for scoring better than average, and all they do is aim to be slightly better than average, because that is all it takes.  Make the chase, and even at 10th place, you are only 50 points behind. 23% of the drivers make the chase, so you only have to be in the 77th percentile to make it in.

Champcar and the IRL are no better at this point.  Champcar is packed full of no-names and lame brains, unsponsored cars, stupid street races on tracks so tight nobody can pass without a major incident, and short fields that would make my local circle track cancel a class for lack of competitors.  IRL has the names and the Indy500, but a bunch of other cookie cutter races and all the competition of a pin the tail on the donkey contest.

I still enjoy F1 from a totally technical stand point, I enjoy how strategy, driver skill, and the choices of others all interplay.  But that is a sport of billionaires… and it is pretty hard to swallow at times.

Too bad… I really use to enjoy racing.

Woke up and realized that it wasn’t even 9 AM yet so tried to go back to sleep and now I’ve been the zombie woman all day.

Got the stitches out of my face this afternoon. Ironically I’m having more discomfort the last day or so then I did last week right after the surgery. Seems like the more the swelling goes away the more the muscles in my face hurt. Eating is still a challenge but I am loving the way things are looking. After I’m fully healed from this I may do a few other minor things but I’m pretty much done with cosmetic surgery for awhile now. Getting old is a bitch. lol

Finally blue skies and nice weather again and it’s suppose to be cool enough thought that I may get to wear a jacket and a bit more clothes then my usual tank top and jeans. Went over to outlet mall by me and found some more clothes for the gym. I’m probably got enough now with the stuff that I found last week unless I spot something that I really like. It’s nice to have clothes for the gym again as the ones that I was wearing were from last year and were way too big on me now.

First off, happy birthday to me… I turned a shocking (and some would say impressive) 42 on Thursday.  Quiet day, fielded some phone calls and emails from the well wishers (thanks!), and generally played it cool.   42 is suppose to be the answer to life, the universe, and everything, so here is to seeing if it fact it is true.

My birthday present is that my main desktop here got a prety solid upgrade, now up to a core2 duo processor(s) and a nice GEForce 7300GT video card, which certainly has improved the view from over here.  The thing is a beast, and runs pretty much everything like salsa through a goose.  It’s a nice way to celebrate getting older, I guess, by making your tool work better!

In order to pick up the parts, I did another “rental car” run to Toronto.  Hit two cars I had reviewed before, so no reason to run over that ground again.  But safe to say that my opinion of the new Camry was solidified by another 600kms behind the wheel of one of the nicest 4 door sedans in the class.  I could run that one all day and all night and never get tired!

In the porn world, well, not too much new and exciting.  The Jordan Capri Honeymoon Video is slowly leaking out, which is all good.  One thing for sure, this girl could likely suck a golf ball through a garden hose.  Nice stuff!

As for my own stuff, well… an important date coming up for me on November 16th will sort of clear up some things for me and give me an idea on some of the things I will be working on in the next 12 months or so.  Until then, I am in sort of a weird holding pattern, cleaning up some stuff and generally making all the porn stuff work better and be more up to date.  Otherwise, I am pretty quiet, and actually taking some time for myself these days, which feels pretty darn good.

Actually, it has been a pretty weird 10 days around here, with some personal issues once again eating up my time, but at this point for maybe some good at the end rather than bad or pain.  Resolution, clarity, and maybe a chance of something really decent is sitting about a month out, so I am keeping my eye out there.  It is a little stressful, but that’s okay.

It’s also been a weird week because CBGB’s closed, which was about the kewlest club int he world as far as I was concerned growing up.  A whole musical revolution came from that club, and it greatly shaped my appreciation for music other than (my at that time prefered) metal.  CBGBs closes story is here.
