hey everyone, I hope that the frozen winter that we are currently having isn’t in your neighborhood… -31 this morning… nice!
This post is just to let everyone know that there are a few changes ongoing and coming up for Pornpig. Nothing major, the same features you really enjoy will still be here, the same great blog entires, and the same great contributors… but some changes under the hood with wordpress have meant I have had to make some changes on the site to make it all work out properly.
First off, I am playing with the layout a little bit. All the same stuff is here, just moved from left to right in some cases. I have come to understand certain things about Google and other search engines, and realize it is better to have the actual page content appearing before links and menus. So the links and menus are now all over to the right hand side, and the page starts right away on the left, where your eye goes anyway!
All posts on this site will now be tagged with their original sources at the bottom, which will link you to the original story on the original site. This is a result in a change of software used to add the posts to the site. It does mean that the title will now link to a single post on pornpig rather than the destination site, a function of how the new posting software works. Also, all of the images on the site will be hosted in one place rather than each of the original blogs, which will mean that the main pornpig page should load faster for you, and you won’t miss something out if one server is down or unreachable.
Finally, the new software will allow me to add more blog feeds to the site, so there will be more new stuff every day. My goal is to make the entire first page new every day (that is 25-30 entries) which will mean tons of great things for you to enjoy on every visit to pornpig. So Bookmark us now… and enjoy PORNPIG!
